Download Benefic

Download the Benefic CLI for your platform to get started with self-hosted media streaming.

Linux (amd64)

Officially supported distributions:

• Debian 13
• Ubuntu 24.04.3
• Other Debian-based distributions (community supported)

Download the latest release and unzip:

unzip benefic-alpha-*_linux_amd64.zip
chmod +x benefic
sudo mv benefic /usr/local/bin/

macOS (Universal)

Supported versions:

• macOS 15 Sequoia (September 2024)
• macOS 26 Tahoe (September 2025)
• Works on both Intel and Apple Silicon (ARM)

Download the latest release and unzip:

unzip benefic-alpha-*_macos_universal.zip
chmod +x benefic
sudo mv benefic /usr/local/bin/
