How does the cropper work?
Drop an image and a crop rectangle appears over the preview. Drag any handle to resize, drag the centre to move, then click Crop. The cropped pixels are encoded back into the same format the source used.
What output format do I get?
Whatever your input was: JPEG stays JPEG, PNG stays PNG, etc. JPEG output goes through mozjpeg for smaller files at the same visual quality. Source formats we can't encode (DNG, HEIC, SVG) fall back to PNG.
Does my image get uploaded?
No. The cropper runs entirely in your browser as WebAssembly. Nothing is sent over the network.
